Michael Bauman is mostly known as chief lighting technician and gaffer. He worked with Paul Thomas Anderson on The Master (2012), Inherent Vice (2014), Radiohead's Daydreaming music video (2016), Phantom Thread (2017), and shared director of photography credits with Anderson on Licorice Pizza (2021). Other films Bauman worked on include Training Day (2001), Munich (2005), Iron Man (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010), Nightcrawler (2014), Ford v Ferrari (2019), The Tragedy of Macbeth (2021), as well as the upcoming David O. Russell film.
